Michael has been active in ministry for nearly 30 years, the majority of that time serving in the area of youth and family. In 2012, Michael went back to seminary to better understand current trends in church, youth, and family life. Earning his M.A. in Theology with a thesis on intergenerational faith formation has helped him even better address the current challenges facing the church and families as they seek to integrate life and faith in a complex world. Currently, Michael is working on his PhD in Intergenerational Faith Formation from the University of Pretoria in South Africa. However, some of Michael’s best education comes from being the father of three boys who have enhanced his life and ministry in extraordinary ways as they grew into men and the constant companionship of his wife and partner, Carol.
