Welcome Pastor Ryan Irmer 
Rev. Ryan Irmer serves as our Lead Pastor at Wilson Memorial Church. He has been an ordained minister through the Presbyterian Church (USA) and the International Council of Community Churches for over a decade. Ryan is deeply grateful for the opportunity to serve alongside the staff, volunteers, and congregation of Wilson Memorial Church and to be part of the Watchung community.
Before coming to Wilson Memorial Church, Ryan served as Pastor of Long Valley Presbyterian Church. Prior to that, he was Pastor of Slackwood Presbyterian Church in Lawrence, New Jersey, and Associate Pastor of Groomsport Presbyterian Church in Northern Ireland.
Ryan holds a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Missional Theology from Princeton Theological Seminary. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and has completed his Spiritual Director Certification through the Diocese of Trenton. Before entering pastoral ministry, Ryan spent more than a decade working as a teacher and basketball coach.
Ryan is married to Amelia Irmer, a 5th-grade teacher, and they have a daughter, Ali, who is attending the University of Rhode Island. They have a black lab named River who hates water and refuses to play catch.
