We offer programs to help us stretch and grow in our faith
“What’s Brewing?” meets generally on the second Sunday of the month after our Worship Service during our program year. Be sure to visit our Coffee hour and then join us in our Sanctuary at approximately 11:20am. Timely and relevant topics are the focus of “What’s Brewing?” sessions and many are appropriate for all ages, particularly preteen-adult. Sometimes we host a special speaker, sometimes we view and discuss a film; but always we grow and learn! “What’s Brewing?” sessions typically last forty-five minutes to an hour.
Book Groups are offered by our Pastor periodically throughout the program year. Reading and discussing an important book is a wonderful way to get to know others in a small group setting and feel inspired and challenged. You are always welcome to join one of our book groups! Opportunities for Spiritual Deepening are important to the life of our community of faith
On the first Wednesday of the month, October-June, join us for Chapel Wednesdays (7:15pm-8:00pm). Chapel Wednesdays are designed as a way to ground ourselves in prayerful reflection and silence; and include music, a very brief reading or spoken reflection on the theme of the night, a guided meditation and then a period of silence which you are welcome to use for your own private prayer practice. Printed instructions are always available for how to do Centering Prayer. Please enter the building through the door off the mini-parking lot that leads through the Sunday School wing.
During the Lenten season, we gather on Wednesdays for a simple Soup Supper in our Fisher Hall (6:30pm), and then join together in our historic Chapel for a meaningful service of candlelight, singing, prayer and reflection (7:30pm).
Our Pastor also offers individual Spiritual Direction and is a certified Spiritual Director. Spiritual Direction is the art of companioning with another to assist in attending to God’s presence and call.
