Hurricane Harvey Relief Trip
August 5 - 11, 2018
Wilson Memorial Church and St. Mary's
are headed to Texas
Imagine losing everything in your home—not just furniture, clothing, and vehicles but also memories like family photos, childhood toys or a favorite book. This is exactly what thousands of families in coastal Texas experienced when Hurricane Harvey smashed into their communities in August 2017. As you watched the news, I am sure you felt compassion for the families but may have been unsure how to help in the Texas disaster relief efforts.
Wilson Memorial Church and St. Mary's Stony Hill are participating in the effort to rebuild the devastation in Port Arthur, Texas. Roll up your sleeves and help with anything from gutting homes, to flooring, framing, drywalling or more. You will have a chance to meet physical needs but also the opportunity to have a spiritual impact by listening to and encouraging homeowners who are continuing to pick up the pieces of their lives.
