Dear Church Family,
These words from Teresa of Ávila from about 500 years ago are very true today. Each one of us is now Christ’s body on earth. We found these words to be so inspirational as we thought about this year’s Stewardship campaign. Each person has special gifts and talents. We need to use those gifts and talents in a Christ-like manner, volunteering when asked or better still, seeing a need and volunteering without being asked. At Wilson Memorial Church, we believe in the vision and our mission of supporting not only our church as a body, but to shine the light of Jesus through our ministry and resources. Our mission is not just for today’s needs, but for the future of our congregation and those that we reach through outreach and good works.
We also need to support our church financially. Please prayerfully consider what you can pledge to donate next year. As we always remind you, your pledge is an estimate. Sometimes circumstances change and you will have to modify the amount you can give – maybe less but then again, maybe more. Without your pledge, though, it is much more difficult to prepare next year’s budget.
